PAUL PERCIVAL
Paul knew from a very young age that he had a passion for hair. At the tender age of 17 he moved to London
to start his extensive training at Charles Worthington and Trevor Sorbie.
Whilst at Sorbie, the foundations of Paul’s session career were established under the tutelage of renowned session
stylist, Eugene Souleiman. As his freelance career took off, Paul became a sought after talent for one of London’s leading hair & makeup agencies, Streeters, frequently requested by the likes of Kylie Minogue and Bjork.
As his enviable stable of loyal clients grew, Paul branched out on his own in 2003 setting up Phamous Artists (www.phamousartists.com), the edgy and glamorous agency favoured by the music and fashion industry for unparalleled hair and makeup styling.
It is through Phamous that Paul met his future business partner, Adam Reed. Adam was one of the limited number of hand picked talents on Phamous’ hair booking roster. This brought Paul and Adam together working backstage on photographic shoots, music videos and international fashion weeks. Paul’s published work has graced the pages of many of the world’s leading publications such as Vanity Fair, Vogue, Sunday Times Style, W, Wallpaper, Elle and Marie Claire, and his advertising campaigns include Ralph Lauren, Dunhill, Top Shop, Bloomingdales, Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
Although Paul frequently is called upon for editorial and runway work, his real passion for music has contributed to his success in building a career that takes him behind the scenes of many of the world’s greatest music videos and artist tours.
His clients include Will Young, The Sugababes, Marina & the Diamonds, Rebecca Ferguson, Mel C, The Hurts, Matt Cardle and Claire Maguire.
Once established in his own right as an artist and owner of a successful agency, Paul’s next venture was to open a salon like no other in its attitude and technique. Paul joined forces with like-minded Adam Reed to found
Percy & Reed in 2007.
When Percy & Reed opened its doors the mandate was to delivery the pinnacle in creative hair styling to clients in a unique, relaxed and friendly salon where pretention is left at the door.
Percy & Reed immediately became one of London’s most talked about destination hair salons, with a highly skilled team focused on delivering a tailor-made service to clients in a welcoming environment.
