Hairspray can expire, but luckily, it takes a while. Your Percy & Reed hairspray will offer phenomenal hold and hair health benefits for 12-24 months after first opening or 2-3 years unopened. 

One method we recommend to get your hairspray amount ‘just right’ is to hold the nozzle 20cm away from your hair and continuously spray for 6 seconds while moving the spray around your head.

Another method to help ensure you use a moderate amount of hairspray is to mist your hairbrush rather than your hair before combing through it.

To apply Percy & Reed volumising mousse, first make sure your hair is freshly washed and towel-dried.  Shake the can, then dispense your desired amount of mousse. Depending on hair length, this can be a golf-ball-sized amount for shorter hair or a tennis-ball-sized amount for longer hair. Then, rub your mousse into your hands and pull through your hair from root to tip. 

Apply our heat protectant spray by sectioning your hair, then holding the spray nozzle 20cm from your hair. Spray from the middle length of your hair to the tips, avoiding the roots. Comb through and be sure your hair is fully dry before using heated straighteners, wands or irons. 

To use our hair primer, first make sure your hair is clean and towel-dried, still slightly damp. Dispense a coin-sized amount of primer into your hands, then rub your palms together before smoothing it from your mid-lengths to the tips of your hair, avoiding the roots.
